We all know the Leaning Tower of Pisa, but have you heard of the leaning towers of Bologna? 🏙️ Between the 12th and the 13th century, Bologna was a city full of towers, looking much like Manhattan today. Building towers was a way for wealthy families to show off their power. According to legend, these two towers were built by two families who were competing to erect the city's tallest tower to show their power between 1109 and 1119.
